PAW Calendar Cat of the Month, Melky
I think Melky wins for being the most social cat this year! He was hard to photograph because I’d have to run away from him repeatedly to get far enough away for a photo. Luckily this technique often resulted in him rolling on the floor as cute as he could possibly be. (Each rolling floor photo here was from a different time I’d run away and he’d roll over!) We later lured him into new poses by enticing him with his favorite toy, his mom’s earbuds!
About this project: In the summer of 2016 I had the honor of photographing 14 adorable cats who once belonged to the Lethbridge PAW Society but who now have comfortable, happy homes to call their own. Each of these cats were featured in PAW’s 2017 calendar, showing off the good that comes from people graciously donating to the society and providing foster homes for the abandoned cats.
He’s definitely got this cute thing down…
Finally caught the prey! A lot of bad behaviour gets reinforced making these photos work ;)
