PAW Calendar Cat of the Month, Luna
Poor little Luna! Each year for the calendar we have at least one cat that is camera shy, and this year was Luna’s turn. That being said, she was much braver than many kitties before her! Instead of hiding under a bed or behind a couch, she bravely faced down her foe, the camera. (She loved me on my own, but as soon as the camera covered my face she didn’t understand what was happening and panicked!) Her mom and I corralled her through the house, quickly snapping photos every time she stopped to check out the camera monster again. She was such a kind cat that it made me feel extra guilty for scaring her so much ;)
About this project: In the summer of 2016 I had the honor of photographing 14 adorable cats who once belonged to the Lethbridge PAW Society but who now have comfortable, happy homes to call their own. Each of these cats were featured in PAW’s 2017 calendar, showing off the good that comes from people graciously donating to the society and providing foster homes for the abandoned cats.
About PAW Society: PAW (People for Animal Welfare) is based in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, and has been arranging the adoption of homeless cats since 2000. It is a non-profit society in the Province of Alberta and a Registered Canadian Charity.
