PAW Calendar Cat of the Month, Kally
I had a few warnings about Kally before I met her. Her humans expected her to be very standoffish, if she wasn’t just hiding from me. After a minute with her, her dad was amazed how much she liked me! Kally is a gentle old lady (somewhere around 16 years old). She’s not very active and is very content to stay snuggled in bed, but she has such a warm personality and is very friendly once she gets over her shyness. We even managed to lure her out of the comfy bed for a few photos.
Tragically Kally passed away just before the calendar’s release and the calendar is dedicated to her memory.
About this project: In the summer of 2016 I had the honor of photographing 14 adorable cats who once belonged to the Lethbridge PAW Society but who now have comfortable, happy homes to call their own. Each of these cats were featured in PAW’s 2017 calendar, showing off the good that comes from people graciously donating to the society and providing foster homes for the abandoned cats.
About PAW Society: PAW (People for Animal Welfare) is based in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, and has been arranging the adoption of homeless cats since 2000. It is a non-profit society in the Province of Alberta and a Registered Canadian Charity.
