PAW Calendar Cat of the Month, Yaegar
Some cats are hard to photograph because they are scared of strangers and hide under the bed. Some cats are hard to photograph because they won’t stop rubbing on your legs to say hello or meowing right into the camera lens. Yaegar is definitely the latter type of cat :) His photos were a team effort of treats, distractions (including chin scratches), and even mom and dad pinning him purring to the bed while I quickly zoomed in. He must be quite the snuggler!
About this project: In the summer of 2015 I had the honor of photographing 12 adorable cats who once belonged to the Lethbridge PAW Society but who now have comfortable, happy homes to call their own. Each of these cats were featured in PAW’s 2016 calendar, showing off the good that comes from people graciously donating to the society and providing foster homes for the abandoned cats.
About PAW Society: PAW (People for Animal Welfare) is based in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, and has been arranging the adoption of homeless cats since 2000. It is a non-profit society in the Province of Alberta and a Registered Canadian Charity.
