PAW Calendar Cat of the Month, Mocha!
Mocha, the Lethbridge PAW Society calendar cat for July, was one of my favorites I got to meet. Aside from the fact I love black cats, his tail was so amazing! It was almost as big as the rest of his body :)
Mocha was a little uncertain about the photo situation and stayed cautiously away from us. Most of the time, he’d pose for a few photos, then quickly escape to another room. Luckily he was okay with us following him, as long as he was in control!
About this project: In the spring of 2013 I had the honor of photographing 13 adorable cats who once belonged to the Lethbridge PAW Society but who now have comfortable, happy homes to call their own. Each of these cats were featured in PAW’s 2014 calendar, showing off the good that comes from people graciously donating to the society and providing foster homes for the abandoned cats.
I arrived just as lunch was finishing!
His family’s staircase was such a beautiful backdrop for his photos, with the added bonus of natural light streaming in the front door.
This was one of his “Back off, buddy!” moments ;)
That moment quickly passed and he made himself comfortable on the couch for a few more photos.
